Kamrhan Farwell is the chief marketing and communications officer for the University of Missouri and the University of Missouri System. She oversees the Joint Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing, which directs and supports all forms of institutional and leadership communications and marketing for both Mizzou and the UM System. She also provides direction and collaboration with distributed communicators throughout the university, as well as communication leaders at all four universities in the UM System and MU Healthcare.
Prior to joining the University of Missouri in 2018, she served as assistant vice chancellor for communications at the University of Pittsburgh, which followed a leadership role at the University of Texas at Dallas. Before her work in higher education, Farwell spent nearly 20 years as a journalist in California and Texas, where she led education coverage at the Dallas Morning News.
